Last night, Todd and I had Faith, her husband, Dave, and their sons over for dinner. Despite the chaos of four little ones, we had a nice time. It was the first time in a long time (probably a year) that we've had a sit down dinner with friends. The best part was watching Tate play with their oldest little boy. It was one of the first times we've seen Tate actually play with another kid and they managed to get along with few tears! They chased each other around our kitchen pantry and up and down the hall, showed each other toys, and played train together, all the while calling each other by name and announcing the name of whichever toy they were holding. It was adorable. Of course, I didn't get a picture. But I DID get a picture of the younger boys "playing!"

Todd the Movie Star
Todd had an exciting 14 hour day on the set yesterday. Not only was he actually IN a scene that will probably be in the movie, but he got to be in a scene with famous people! (names excluded so this blog doesn't show up on Google searches!) He's pretty stoked about it and spent time late into the night sharing all the details - 'so and so was in front of me in the cake line!' and 'so and so looks totally different in real life!' and 'I got to blah blah blah!' and the inevitable 'the caterers made SUCH good food!' I assured him my day was equally as exciting - 'I got to clean pudding-like poop off a diaper' and 'I got to see both of our sons scream at the same time' and 'my microwaved hot dogs were DELICIOUS!'

Play dates, chickens and horses, oh my!
We had a busy week!
On Tuesday, we had a play date with my new friend, Faith, and her two little boys who are close in age to Tate and Tov. We met at her house and Tate was FASCINATED by the "new" toys - especially the super sweet airplanes!
On Wednesday, we went to playgroup at church and it was packed. We were a bit overwhelmed by the chaos so we left early and Faith brought her boys over to our house so her toddler could enjoy some "new" toys like Tate had the day before.
On Thursday, I had to take Tate to the doctor (again). Nothing serious, just a rash, but he wasn't happy to be there. Oh well, he got over it.
On Friday, Faith and I packed our four boys into the mini and drove into Anchorage to watch Grandma feed chickens and a horse. The big boys were terrified of the horse at first, although they warmed up after Grandma started feeding him. The chickens, on the other hand, were a big hit and they both asked about them after we'd moved on. We may have to buy Tate a pet chicken one of these days!
On Saturday, we headed into town to have coffee with my friend, Colleen. It was great to catch up with her and Tate loved being out of the house again and having a new girl to flirt with! We even go to stay longer than we might have otherwise because Todd stayed late at work to work on his truck (one of the many projects in our lives right now).
Today, Todd was "working" as an extra on a movie so I took the boys to church. I didn't get to actually sit in the service, but at least the mother's room has a TV so I could see what was going on! As of this writing, Todd is still on the set and both of my little ones are sleeping so...here I am!
Now that you're caught up, I will try to make my future posts a bit more exciting (if I can).

I'm a blogger now!
As is true with many things, my sister was my blogging inspiration. She blogs about her days raising her little ones and it's very...well...inspiring. So here I go!
